The Backup-Restore Utility is to be used in order to save filter settings ( active / inactive filters, excluded users / groups, passwords ) when uninstalling the current product version and installing the new product version.
The saved data represents specific settings deployed with the Web Sites filter ( Web Sites ), specific settings deployed with the Files & Extensions filter ( Files & Extensions ), specific settings deployed with the Keywords & Profiles filter ( Keywords & Profiles ), specific settings deployed with the Exclude User, Exclude Group features – excluded users / groups ( Rules for each IP ), specific settings deployed with the Scheduler feature ( Scheduler for the filters ), specific settings deployed with the Group Management feature, user account passwords ( Passwords ).
The Start Backup feature creates the file CIFPBackup_mm_dd_yyyy.zip containing the saved data. The file is located with the installation folder and is to be deployed with the Restore feature . The file CIFPBackup_mm_dd_yyyy.zip is not cleared within the uninstall process.

1. Start the Backup-Restore Utility

2. Click Start Backup

3. Select the CIFPBackup_mm_dd_yyyy..zip file
4. Click Open

cyclope.ip ( located with the installation folder ) – Rules for each IP
cyclope.sc ( located with the installation folder ) – Scheduler for the filters

groups.xml ( located with the installation folder ) – Groups
license ( located with the installation folder ) – License
2. Uninstall the current product version
3. Install the new product version
4. Restore back-up files
