You did a great job demonstrating that with every challenge there is opportunity. I think these situations force us to get better. As a manager of a group of engineers I face the challenge of keeping them focused. We talk honestly and openly about the distractions caused by the economy, but we don't spend much time fearing what we cannot control. To let off steam, we mock what we find silly and laugh about it. Otherwise, we focus on what we can control, try to get better every day and celebrate our successes. Kathryn, you made several excellent points in your post.
